FOREST ROOM UKULELE – 4 Chords Medley – LWF
Walk for Water - In support of Lake Winnipeg - July 19, 2026
Many popular songs are built from just four chords, which is one of the reasons they feel so familiar and easy to learn. In fact, there are at least three songs in this medley that use the same chord progression throughout. for example, I’m Yours. Once this simple musical pattern is understood, it becomes an incredibly useful tool for musicians, especially in group settings like ours. It allows us to move quickly between songs, build confidence in playing, and focus more on rhythm, singing, and ensemble sound rather than complex chord changes. This is one of the key ideas we’ve been exploring in Forest Room Ukulele (FRU) - how a small musical structure can unlock a wide range of songs and make group more accessible and fun.
We begin with hope and optimism, celebrate friendship and fun, spend time on and around the water, and finish by celebrating the lake that brings us all together.
Chords - Use the same chords throughout this entire medley.
